Motorcar Matrimony
Huntington Beach, California, 26 June 1998
by Dave Parker

With only a short time allotted to plan the festive occasion, Hector Rodriguez (shown at left) of "Cruise Night Productions" met with (bride & groom-to-be) Diane Gerber & Eric Lundberg to help plan their big wedding day. Both are into hot rods and hang out at Bravo Burgers' Monday Night Cruise. Hector spoke with the owner of Bravo Burgers of Huntington Beach and coordinated with others to put on a special "hot rod wedding." Hector invited cars from some of the local clubs to attend, and found someone to assist with the decorations, a fellow lady hot rodder (Sandy Ducharme). The cars were arrayed on both sides of the aisle with me (Dave Parker) as an advisor for the wedding photography. The Orange County Register (newspaper) was in attendance, along with commentators from a local radio station.

And a special note from the bride and groom:

As exciting as it's been
It's nice to have some time
To thank family and friends
For being thoughtful and kind

The day finally arrived
And our dreams came true
Your presence meant so much
We want to say "Thank You"!
